Fionix Audiometric Speech CD contains all the speech testing needed for most hearing aid clinics.  CD includes:

  • Spondee words
  •  10 more difficult words from NU6 lists 1A and 2A
  •  Complete NU6 lists 1A-4A without carrier phrase
  •  Complete NU6 lists 1A-4A with competing sentences
  • 6 lists of the original recording of the Maryland CNC word lists (mandated by the VA for performing word recognition testing)
    • Maryland CNC includes: Speech Recognition
    • Used to measure how well a person understands spoken words
    • Consists of lists of 50 words read by an audiologist
    • Particularly relevant for VA disability claims as it helps regulate the severity of hearing loss by determining the maximum word recognition score (PBmax) a person can achieve
    • Test also includes a Performance-Intensity Function (PIF) to find the level of maximum performance, ensuring the most accurate score for compensation purposes
